Barbara A. Ringer dies at 83; force behind copyright law - Los Angeles Times: "Barbara A. Ringer had just graduated from Columbia University's law school in 1949 when she joined the Copyright Office at the Library of Congress."
Six years later she started the 21 year drafting process of the Copyright Act of 1976!!!
