RealNetworks' Apple flirtation on music ignored Hollywoodreporter.com: "As competition in the online music market stiffens, RealNetworks has so far failed in a bid to partner with its Internet music rival Apple Computer and join forces against their common enemy, Microsoft Corp. RealNetworks' chief executive Rob Glaser sent an e-mail to Apple's chairman Steve Jobs seeking an alliance and a meeting to discuss it this week while Seattle-based Glaser was in the Silicon Valley. 'He's in the neighborhood, but whatever meeting Rob wanted with Steve isn't happening,' Real spokesman Greg Chiemingo said Thursday. 'Steve just doesn't want to open the iPod, and we don't understand that."
this is truely quite sad, but maybe rob shouldn't have been sop public and threatening. steve is very touchy. what a bummer, i think it would have been very beneficial for both companies and the pubic at large!!!
