something in the debates has struck me. there has been all this discussion of spending increases/decreases and the decreases/increases in governments size. but shouldn't the government grow with the same or at least a simillar rate to the population? and as for spending and surplus, it seems to me that the division of governement money and citizen money is irrelevant. the government is "by the people for the people" therefor the surpluss wether spent by people directly or by them through the government, indirectly is still their's. the debates are also online. everybody should watch! see them at yahoo in full.

new news on the Napster v RIAA front. looks like napster went to town on their latest filings with the court of appeals. some of the legal docs can be found on Napsters site (they are pdf so make sure you have acrobat). not all inclusive but good start for those interested.
