Really cool story from Cnet on the state of adware and spyware and thoes trying to stop it. The article is very unbiased and lack projection on the impact such actions might have on the future of p2p but very very interesting nontheless. Moreover it will catch you up on the latest developements.

The Hole-In-The-Wall A computer peeped out of a hole that had been carved out in the wall that separated the NIIT premises from the adjoining slum. As the day wore on, the curious onlookers, mostly children living in the slum, approached the computer. Within days, the kids had taught themselves to draw on the computer and to browse the Net.

ZD has a really cool article about IBM, Sun, and Microsoft. The best part I believe gets lost in the shuffle about who will win. The true nugget of the article is the mention of the install base of java, "By all counts, some version of Java now exists on many more client devices than does Windows (including desktop systems, phones, gaming consoles, set top boxes and even credit cards)." Not bad. Thanks Scott.

The New Kinkos, Australia has some new coin op toys for making burned cds. These kinds of things may have been just invented but there are powers that would like to see them fade away just as quickly. The EFF just set up a blog talking about some of the new issues with digital content broadcasting and for info on copy protection specifically check Copy Protection Technical Working Group. It's a good way to keep up with all the crazy stuff going on.
