Western Digital FUCK YOU!!!

wow. had been a big fan of wd. my last four drives purchased came from them. i dont think i'll ever buy another. just just brought my drive home and it has some crap installed. ok. no problem. been through this drill before. buy 1 product. get another 6 i dont want. didnt ask for. didnt approve of. ok. reformat the drive and off to the races. NOPE. not this time. wd saw fit to make this software refuse to unmount and refuse to erase. in fact the only way to do so is to follow the 2 step process found here: http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/updates/?family=wdsmartwareutilitiesmac. oh wait. actually step 1 has 13 sub parts. these steps include removing all of my other drives and downloading more software i dont want. step two is much simpler it only has 11 sub parts. including again downloading yet another piece of software. this one they swear shuts off the first piece.
